THE absolute sweetest creature with the most willpower in the world to survive. In 2020 (a rather lonely year for us all) I fell in love with this sweet mama. She was abandoned and would have died in Tupelo, Mississippi, birthplace of the King. But she had other plans, making her way to a shelter in New Hampshire, extremely bony and full of worms, but always carrying a big smile that could charm the hardest of hearts. She survived her first New England Winter like a champ. Learned what it means to play with toys in her senior years. And now eats like royalty. I can safely say she's satisfied with her retirement. No matter how much her bones ache, she walks as far as possible almost every day. I cherish every moment, knowing she won't be here forever. She's also an excellent model, though she tends to snooze on the job.
